In a raffle of 10 tickets you hold 2 — your chance is 2 out of 10. Probability is just favorable outcomes divided by all equally-likely outcomes.

The probability fraction

P(event) = favorable ÷ total. It ranges from 0 (impossible) to 1 (certain).
