The patterns that do the work
The 5s always end in 0 or 5, the 10s just add a zero, doubling handles the 2s. Times tables aren't 100 facts to memorize cold — they're full of patterns that let you rebuild any answer you forget.
Patterns are your friend
The times tables hide friendly patterns. The 10s always end in 0. The 5s end in 5 or 0. The 2s are all even. Learning the patterns means you don't have to memorize every fact cold.
Multiplying by 10
To multiply a whole number by 10, just add a zero: 7 × 10 = 70.
